Hi All,
Our client (a builder) charges Rs 500 in case the cheques pertaining to his receipts bounces. However he does not charge service tax on the same. If we look at banks they do charge service tax on cheque bounce charge. Should we also advise our client to charge service tax on the same.
Please refer to STVR,2006 rule 6.It will clear your doubt.
