Hi,
I have query with regard to Service Tax Input. I have received the advance invoice from my vendor for the service to be rendred from April 2011 to Marc 2012. Can i take the credit for the service tax input in month of Feb11. I will make payment in Feb11 or March 11.
Please advice.

yes, Service tax credit can be taken on the amount paid as advance. For the purpose of calculation of service tax treat the amount paid as inclusive of service tax.
