Service tax exemption
Can exemption notification 8/2008 be availed more than once. One of our client is having turnover less than Rs 10 Lacs in both in previous year and in the current financial year and the client has already claimed exemption in the . Can he claim the exemption this year too.

Yes exemption for small service provider is available based on turn
Over of previous year. Sorry for the mistake. The exemption is for ssi industry.
Every small Service provider can claim exemption upto 10 lakh per year. However, in case an assessee croses such exemption in preceding year, then he can not avail exemption.
Turnover of previous year is to be taken in to consideration to calculate the exemption. in your case your client can take this year too as he has not crossed the limit of 10 lacs in all preceding years
