Dear sir,

Our company factory is situated in SEZ - Mahindra world city chennai. for SEZ unit service tax must pay as per notification 9. But our auditor says, yes it is amended but not notified in Gazatte. but our forwarder pushing us to service tax.. pls clearify should we pay with service tax or not and when it comes to enforce..

Yes, you should pay the tax and then claim refund.

Exemption notification by way of refund of duty paid is a novel technique to increase corruption. So many talk of eradicating corruption- and fecilitation of new avenue of corruption goes hand in hand.
