Iam working for an individual & i want to know if i received rent from commercial property given on rent to a company & they deducted the TDS on Rent amount + Service Tax amount whether it is corret to deducted TDS on inclusive amount & please tell me the Service Tax Code in Filing the Challan for that Rent

TDS is to be deducted only on rent amount (Exclusive of Service Tax) u/s. 194I of the I Tax Act, 1961. (Refer Circular no 4/2008 dt.28-4-2008)
