One of my clinent is a fabrication contractor and also dealing in sales purchases metals, steel, and services in certain catageries of work. My question sevice tax is applicale to us or not. if yes service tax +Vat tax cen we culb in the same bill or not?
if we culb both tax in the same bill which one is first collected ? His turnover over more than 2 Cr, and taxable services is mores than 40 lakhs per year. Kindly advice me

In this case sevice tax is applicable, because taxable services are exceeding 8 lakh rupees.
You should register under service tax rules.
