Service tax
Dear Sir, We are storing various Teas (black tea) in our warehouse and making invoice to our clients (tea factories) for storage of their teas bags. Auctioner will take his bags from the warehouse, once the auction sale is done. We do not alter essential characteristics of the product. Kindly clarify, whether is it listed in negative list under agricultural products?

As per Guidance notes on service tax issued by CBEC on 20th June, 2012 following activities relating to agriculture would be exempt:

- Plantation crops like rubber, tea or coffee: Such crops are also covered under agriculture produce.
