what is reverse mechanism charge?

Reverse Charge Mechanism, is a general term for cases covered under law relating to Service Tax, where liability to pay Service Tax is shifted from service provider to service receiver, either wholly or patially.
Refer Sec. 68 of Finance Act, 1994 for the same.
