I raised a bill on 7th June and the payment is not recived till yet also we paid the service tax and also filled the return for the quarter, now in december the party told to cancel the invoice. Please advice me on the same now please that what to do now.

since the service has already been provided and bill has already been raised... you will have to pay the service tax as applicable... no adjustment or relief is available..

As you sent invoice then nothing can be done because this is your bad debt

Yes you can give credit note and take the set off
