An architect is having service tax registration from 2003 when everything was manual. Now his consultant is saying that this manual number doesnt exist in system of service tax which is online. During last 10 years architect's turnover is not greater than taxable limit. Now my query is that what consultant is saying right?
Now the Service Tax Registration, Service Tax Return filing and other procedures have become online through their website www.aces.gov.in.
So the Consultant is right.

Thanx. But how will we verify this?? Does this mean his reg. is not in existence? Is he required to take new reg?
The assessee needs to apply for User id and password. I think the same registration holds good.
