Is service tax exempt in Jammu & Kashmir? Can anyone give me the notification for it? Is WCT @ 8% applicable in J&K?

Hi Tinaz,
Please refer to Sec.64 of Finance Act 1994(as amended by Finance Act 2007). It clearly says,that Chapter V of Finance Act, that deals with Service Tax ,extends to whole of India EXCEPTthe state of J&K
No idea about WCT.........
