hi i m ca final student i m having one querry ragarding service tax.
My querry is if service is provided to the foreign company and fees recd in foreign currency then servicetax ll be charged on that income or not.
and if fees recd in indian curency what ll be its taxability
Any service provided to outsider, service tax shall be levied whether payment was received in indian currency or foreign currrency. It does not matters. But if service provided by outsider to indian then service tax shall be payable by Indian as covered in Reverse charge.

My Name is Kamal, I undergoing CWA ( Inter )
According to me Service Tax is Lived to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmi as per chargablility Section.
In other Work i can say Service Tax is not lived on services provided outside India, but payable as per reversed charge.
if i am wrong so please advoice.
