If house property is not in my name but loan is taken in my name & interest is also paid by me, can I take the deduction of interest amount under IFHP ?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether you can claim a deduction for home loan interest paid on a property that is not legally in your name. The consensus is that you cannot claim this deduction, even if you are the one taking out the loan and making the interest payments. The ownership of the property is the key factor for claiming the interest deduction.
