Self assessment for mother

Sir, Good evening, My mother has to pay self assessment tax for AY 2015-16. I want to pay her tax on line on challan 280. My mother is ready to give me cheque of similar amount to pay her tax liablity. This tax is primerly meant for LTCG tax. Please confirm me, can i do this or not. Or i have to go bank for deposition of tax for my mother.
