how the proportion of voting rights is determined in case of preference share capital.pls explain with an example

The voting right for preference shareholder is proportional to their respective share capital .for example voting on show off hands be 1 vote for each irrespective of their holding,same on poll be proportionate to share capital like Mr. À holding 100 shares have 1 vote for each share.i.e 100 votes.
