In ITR 3, in schedule OS, the 1(d)5 row is missing in the updated java and excel utilities. Hence we cannot enter any income which does not fall in any of the categories mentioned in the schedule.
Since OS schedule contains the residual income some scope should be provised for assessees to type the nature of income.
Any advise?

But, I think we can use 1(d)4 - Others...?!!!

Yes... The said column is Special rate...
But., As per Your said loaction (1(d)5) not in any utility like "JAVA and Excel" also in AY17-18.
Can You tell the use of the Column and it's chargeability of Income...

You can try to show the Income in 4a - Others. It's can't calculate SPECIAL RATE OF TAX...
