The portal gives a template, but no example of the entries.


"Country/Region name","Country Name and Code","Name of entity","Address of entity","ZIP Code","Nature of entity","Date of acquiring the interest","Initial value of the investment","Peak value of investment during the Period","Closing balance","Total gross amount paid/credited with respect to the holding during the period","Total gross proceeds from sale or redemption of investment during the period"

Any sample/example entry? Specially, "Country/Region name","Country Name and Code" for these two. "US","2 - United States"?

You can be determined by referring to standard country code conventions.

The "Country Name and Code" field typically follows the ISO 3166-1 standard, which assigns a unique two-letter or three-letter code to each country. For Example, "US' is the two -letter code for the United States, and "USA" is the three-letter code. The format"2-United States" is not standard:; however, it seems to be referring to using the two-letter code"US" followed by the country name "United States".

A more appropriate example would be to use the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, such as "US" for the United States, or the ISO 3166-1 alpha -3 code, "USA". Therefore, a correct entry could be "United States", "US" or "United States", "USA".

For India, the corresponding entries would be "India", 'IN" or "India", "IND".
