Schedule 112A

I am not able to see how this is appropriate answer because for LTCG what is important is the information on No. of shares sold and this is to be entered in another column,

Thanks to both Sourav and Veerendar  Singh. It appears the Schedule that I downloaded from ITR utility with ITR-2 is  faulty because it does not mention the number of shares/units but both of you are suggesting the same answer , namely the number of shares/units. I will try downloading it again. At this rate I don't know what more surprises/troubles this new utility is going to create before I can say done with it.

Share/Unit acquired is the date of purchase of the security. If you have purchased it on/before 31st Jan 2018, select the first option else select the second option.

Thank you, Madam. I figured out that I was downloading the Schedule 112A before entering the data.  A little while ago I realized that I have to click another button to enter data wherein that clarity was available as you rightly said. Thanks again.
