Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether an individual can claim a refund for TDS deducted on bank interest, even if their total annual income is below the taxable threshold. The consensus is that a refund is possible, but it requires filing an Income Tax Return (ITR). If ITRs haven't been filed for previous years, a condonation of delay under section 119(2)(b) might be necessary.

Yes you may claim the refund and computate your annual income if doubt please contact me
If the income offered for tax in this year you may claim.
From your query it's understood that your aunty didn't file ITR for last 6 years. now the only solution to file condonation of delay under 119(2)(b).. no other options
