. SAP is especially well-known for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and data management programs. SAP is an acronym for Systems, Applications and Products. In accounting all are using SAP FI-CO module. (Finance & Controlling) .Entirely different application from Tally. Under SAP you have to use T-Codes (Transaction Codes). SAP  integrate all the different modules in the company like MM,SD etc.

Its depend upon your usage , if your business is complex in nature and volume of entries is high then SAP is Good, other wise go for Tally. Consider one thing in mind before going for SAP " It is a costly affair".
