Sales return of previous year sales

Hello experts

I had billed with inventory for goods sold during the previous year to an interstate dealer. When I sold the goods the inventory was showing as 0 in the stock item, but when I am passing a credit note for the sales return in the current year, I am not able to get the value of the stock in my tally erp 9. Can someone tell me how do I get the value to display in the stock summary. When I press the stock summary it is displaying the number of pcs in stock but not the value.

You have not entered quantity while making entry in tally
Key in datas for stock records.
Check F11 and F12 settings

Thanks for responding. I have entered the quantity. Everything is good but for the value which is blank. The quantity of all other stock items is displaying with quantity and value except for this credit note entry.  .

I have configured this (F12) and got this one right but not the other 2 above displayed images shared.

Use default valuation for closing stock ? NO (else uses outward value - inward value.

Just change your PC and everything will be fine.

Either you can changes stock valuation method

This is to inform you that the problem is solved now. I had only to pass an additional entry in the inventory vouchers > stock journal. On both the sides of the stock journal, I had to enter the name of the item, Qunatity, Rate and Amount. It is good now. Thank you everyone for your suggestion and help.

Thanks...........

This is to inform you that I have found the correct solution for my above post. Passing the stock journal was optional as I did not have any other idea to do it otherwise.

The right solution for the above is

edit the stock item > press F12 > stock item configuration > Enable standard rates for stock items (Yes)> Save > Alter standard rates > Yes > In the standard cost > enter date in Applicable from > enter purchase price in Rate and save.

You are done.

Thanks for information
