You have to get new registration for the new business as it is a business vertical i.e busines not relating to existing business.
Yes you can do any number of business under one GSTN

as such no....because to add commodity under registration , there is limit of 5 goods can be added.

I think as long as it is proprietarship firm it doesn't have any issues but for other forms of business it will create many issues and would not be so simple.
