Sale of old machinery

646 views 4 replies

We have purchased some machinery in 1982 for our A unit which is in X state. In 2009 we have shifted to this machinery in our B unit in Y state on stock transfer with debit note. Now we are planning to sell the machinery within the Y state, my question is, which type of invoice we have to raise, excise or commercial?

Excise invoice if cenvat availed at the time of purchase. Modvat was introduced in 1986 so there is no question of credit and hence u can issue a commercial invoice
