Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the process for filing a salary return for the Financial Year 2019-20 when the taxable amount is nil. It explains that if your total salary income exceeds the non-chargeable threshold (£250,000), you are generally required to file an Income Tax Return (ITR). However, if you're referring to TDS returns (Form 24Q) and have no TDS deducted or payable, you can submit a 'NIL TDS declaration' online instead of a full TDS return.
As per section 139(1) of the Income Tax act , If you income form salary exceeds 250000/- maximum amount which is not chargeable to income Tax , then you have file ITR
I think you are asking about Salary "TDS return" for F.Y 2019-20 form 24Q If you have not any TDS deduction (i.e NIL TDS payable) than you can file "NIL TDS declaration" online instend of TDS return.
