With what I could understand from your question is that whether articled assistants are eligible for a salary from the firm?
The answer is No. An articled assistant as per the CA Act & guidelines is only eligible for a stipend. However ICAI has notified a minimum amount of stipend on certain basis which can be accessed from ICAI's website.
