SA tax paid is found in income tax portal ....e pay....history...and AIS
Self-assessment tax not in 26AS:
• If the challan paid on 10 March 2023 isn't in 26AS, check: (1) the challan's assessment year and PAN (wrong AY or PAN), (2) the payment status on the e-Pay Tax portal (CIN generated), (3) the bank's OLTAS upload (sometimes delayed).
• Use the "Challan Status Inquiry" (CIN-based) on the TIN/OLTAS site or e-filing. If found under a different AY or minor head, use challan correction (portal for post-2023 payments, or the AO for older).
• If the payment was made via the old TIN-NSDL system and the bank didn't upload, contact the bank with the counterfoil.
