With the advent of internet - there seem to be a plethora of articles / facilities on Tax planning. For example online tax submission, articles on tax savings, clarity on tax planning etc..
An individual can thus do self study and further file returns as also plan tax savings accordingly, whereas earlier he / she had to depend on a CA for guidance.
What value ad can a CA bring in now for an individual / rather let me ask do we really need a CA. If so why ?
That depends on the perspective.
I will tell u a story:
there was a manufacturing company of slippers. This company was planning to market there product in a very poor village. They sent 2 marketing guys A & B. After 10 days "A" returns and submits his report mentioning that there is no scope of slippers as people don't wear it. they are very poor and they just can't afford to buy it.
Then "B" was sent for the same task. After 10 days he returns with a report mentioning that there is a lot of scope in that village. They just don't know about the product and if we give them knowledge of the product, they will certainly find it usefull. We can make good money from there.
Thus that depends on perspective what u want to do. No doubt there is a change in the engagements of CA's now a days but still we need to search for the scope.
