Has anyone submitted a revision request through the income tax website? There only you have to submit what is the tax computed and tax allowed or after that screen other screens follow where you have to fill up the details?..My client has received a notice u/s 154 and I have to revise it again. If there is no follow up screens to point out the errors then it is better to write a letter to the department. Please if anyone has submitted revision request then please guide me. It will help me to decide whter to write a letter or submit the request?

The first screen where u start the revision request in only a screen to validate that u are the genuine assessee looking to apply for rectification. It also proves that u have received an intimation u/s 143(1) from the CPC Bangalore.
Once u enter the correct figures/data in the first screen, another screen pops up and this screen gives u options about the rectification request u are making. It even allows u to upload a revised XML file in case u have made a mistake in creating the XML. It also gives u a 2000 charactor text field where u can enter the reasons why u want the intimation to be rectified. Do try and give feedback
