Dear All.. !

This should not be applicable for May 2012 as the said revision were done in the month on Dec 2011 / Jan 2012... But there is no notification about these changes on website of the ICAI.. & there is no notification of applicability of these changes for may 2012 exams..

But in my opinion, if such an change of 10 to 12 pages can give u some more marks, if they will be asked in exams, then why should not we study these 10 to 12 pages ??

on an avg, each page can give u one extra marks.. so u must read these changes for May 2012 exams too...

All the Best.. yessmiley

Frnds, there was a similar revision befor Nov 2010 exams (guess in the month of July) n those wre made applicable for tat exams though they wre within that 6 months period. So i guess even these amendments will be applicable for May 12.!

Ya..

And i got following reply from ICAI thru e-sahaayata :-

Dear Student In Dec-2011/Jan-2012 edition of ISCA, major revisions are carried out in chapter 2 and 5 in SM to make the content more relevant, exhaustive, practical, and useful. In PM, a new section entitled 'Questions based on the case studies' have been added to provide an idea to solve case study based questions in the examination. Please note that there is no change in the syllabus. Moreover, the revised edition is not applicable for May, 2012 exam; it will be applicable from Nov, 2012 onwards.. All the best, Dr. Santosh K Pandey Faculty
