Revised return for arrear salary

Sir

I already filed my return for AY20-21 without considering Arrear amount & therefore 10E not filed.

Now if I want to, can I file Form 10E and then file revised return with arrear amount to claim relief u/s 89?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether it's possible to file a revised tax return for AY20-21 to include arrear salary amounts and claim relief under Section 89. The consensus is that Form 10E should ideally be filed *before* claiming the arrear relief in the Income Tax Return (ITR) to prevent potential demands from CPC during processing. Filing Form 10E retrospectively after the initial return may lead to complications.

Generally form 10E should be file before claiming arrear in ITR , because CPC at the time of processing of Return may raised a demand and did not consider section 89 relief .so as per my knowledge file Form 10E before filing of revised return
No you can't
