The deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the Financial Year 2019-20 has been extended. Originally set for 30th November 2020, the new due date is now 31st December 2020. This extension applies to individual salary persons and was announced by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.

The due date to file Income Tax Return ( ITR ) for FY 2019-20 ( AY 2020-21 ) has been extended to "31st December 2020 ( 31/12/2020 )" from earlier 30/11/2020 as per Press Release dated 24th October 2020, issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes ( Income Tax Department ).
