How can I restart my CA?What is the procedure for the same? What shld I do?I cleared CA IPCC both groups in my first attempt in November 2011 exams. I had secured 8th rank in rajkot. After that, I left my CA course around mid 2012.I had registered for my CA FINAL. I want to do my internship from Mumbai.Around 2 years and 11 months are still left. Or should I join internship in my home town Rajkot itself?? Do I need to register again? If yes, details on how to go about it ? I'm 24 now,shld I restart CA or do MBA? Would I get a good package assuming I clear CA FINAL in first attempt??

What about CPA from India? Is it worth for Indian students? Considering it has a shorter duration. Kindly guide me.

Hi Deep,

First of all,on your question as to whether you have to restart CA again.Well Ofcourse!!My dear,u have secured 8th Rank in such a tough course as ours in IPCC.Dont let your own inner feelings fail you.You definitely have the caliber to keep going with this.So i suggest you to take up CA itself and complete it and hopefully u would be able to secure a Rank in Final as well.

I suggest you go for classes side by side to ensure better clarity since you had taken break in between.Your age is no issue,what matters in only your ambition.And regarding your doubt on doing MBA,if you want to engage in a management area,its a good course as well.Prioritise based on what you want to work as.But if you wanted to be a CA,then do that first and pursue MBA after that if you like.

and yes there is no specific procedure to restart CA,I suggest you brush over your basics and ipcc portions to get a better clarity during classes and all you have to do is see when you would want to appear for your Finals.Plan and study accordingly:-)

First of all, thank you for such encouraging reply.

So, there is no need to register again. Just apply to firms with my resume. Could you suggest about where should I do my internship? I'm not as studious as I used to be. My fellow school mates who started CA with me after 12th still haven't cleared CA and other thing is my age. Basically, I'm afraid of what if I don't clear it in the end. Could you suggest some firms?

What about CPA form India? Isn't it a good option??

Ur always welcome!:-)And yes there is no need to register again or anything.About internship,i cant really help u cuz im no where near Mumbai or Rajkot to help u in that area.

And second thing,about your friends who didnt clear,see thats exactly how people get discouraged in this course.We think of others failiures and start believing that we cant do it either.My advice is that dont think or make their story yours.

CA needs hardwork and yes its going to strenuous for the next couple of months,but look at the big picture and ul know it was all worth it.Anyone who doesnt study for a while may find it difficult to get the right kind of focus at first but then gradually all that will return back.My dear,ur not old to worry about age and stuff.Look at your positives,ur a Rankholder in ur Inter and that counts Deep.So stop thinking that u cant and think u can and go ahead.One thing is you have to persist your goal and get that vigour back.Uve got this!

About CPA,its a good course indeed but as per my understanding,CFA is a better course.But still i suggest you stick on to CA complete that and then go for CPA,CFA or even MBA.
