Response to Confirm or Revise claim of refund

you can still take the following steps to get your refund:

1. _Check the status_: Log in to the Income Tax e-Filing portal and check the status of your refund. 

2. _Submit a revised claim_: If the original claim has expired, submit a revised claim for refund. 

3. _Contact the CPC_: Reach out to the Central Processing Centre (CPC) of the Income Tax Department for assistance. 

4. _File an appeal_: If your claim has been rejected, you can file an appeal with the Commissioner of Income 

If you have forgot to respond to "Confirm or Revise" claim of refund for AY 2024-25, here's what you can do next to ensure your refund is processed:

1.Log in to e-Filing portal and check the status of your refund under My Account > Refund/Demand Status.

2. If the refund has not been processed, check whether the IT department issued an intimation order u/s 143(1).

3. Submit a Refund Reissue Request- 

• Go to Services > Refund Reissue on the e-Filing portal.
• Update bank account details if required and submit the request.

4. If the refund claim was denied or revised incorrectly due to non-response, file a rectification request u/s 154:

• Navigate to Services > Rectification on the e-Filing portal.
• Select the relevant assessment year and reason for rectification.

5. Contact the Jurisdictional Assessing Officer (AO) with a written application explaining the delay and providing necessary documentation.
