What is the procedure to reset the password for efiling website, where earlier return was manually filed.?
Some one without knowledge registered the PAN number on efiling site, where IT return was manually file till last year and now I want to do efiling but could not due to lack of answer to secret question.
Also sent the mail to ask @ incometaxindia.gov.in, for resetting but did not receive any response for last many months.
Pls. Advise?
You send once again mail to ask @ incometaxindia.gov.in or just try with your manual filed Acknowledgment number
you must include follwing details in email to ask @ incometaxindia.gov.in for verification purpose
PAN, DoB, Full Name, Address(as per PAN Database), Reason.
after sending an email, you may contact 0124-2438000.
I did the same and after few calls i got the new password which would be working after 24hrs.
