My password was set by an Accountant who was supposed to file my returns but he didn't. His email ID is the registered ID . He is not contactable. How do I get my password reset? I have never filed my retuns before.

now you have only one way to reset password that is get your digital signature prepared and crack your password and reset as per your choice
It can also be reset if you have an e-acknowledgement copy of your previousle e-filed ITR. There's an option # 3 to use your acknowledgement no. to reset your password. Thereafter you can change the contact details.

You can use a website named Taxcloudindia.com from this site you can file your return without password and then can use that ITR generated to break that password.
The only way to cracknis by using your Digital Signature. Make sure it is not expired or over used.
You can do as suggested by ashish garg. It is very easy and no need to do anything. You can file your IT return easily and also submit it to IT dept. directly. After receiving of acknowledged number you can reset your password.
