Request to icai to change the exam paper timings for may-16

Friends, as we know the paper timings for CA exams are 2 PM to 5 PM.

This timings could be OK for November month but are very unconvinient and problemetic for the month of May. Because in most of the India its a core time of summer, the temprature level easily touches to 44 to 45 C. in noon time. This results into adverse effects on our health and definately hampers our performance in the exam. We also can not take the lunch properly on exam days due to such odd timings and exam anxiety...
Every time in May exam we see many students falling from stairs, becoming unconcious and even having seizure attacks, this happens because of immense exam pressure (we all know how CA exams are) and taxing summer season (we dont know whether ICAI is taking any inputs from exam centers or invigilators regarding such unfortunate events). Also Final exam are 15 days long affair, one could definatley get a sun stroke and fall sick.
I dont understand why ICAI doesnt care about this fact, if we call it our mother then it must take care of its students atleast in the exams.
So, can we do something from our part so that ICAI can change the exam time atleast for exams conducted in the month of May ( i dont know if this has been requested to ICAI before by anyone).

ICAI should wrap up the exam by 12 Noon or 1 PM ( 8 to 11 , 9 to 12 or 10 to 1 are all fine and convinient for all of us) as ICAI used to conduct exams previously (8 to 11). For the international centers like Dubai, AbuDhabi, Oman etc this could not be an issue as they have all the Air Conditioned environment and they usually start their workings from 8 AM, also there will not be more than 10 % students appearing from international centers if compared to overall India.
Friends its a humble request to all students to express their view and to all ICAI members to guide us so that something effective can be done to change the exam timings..... Thanks

Your opinion have my support.

Only those people who have to commute long to get to exam centres will have a problem with early start times but I am not sure 9am or 10am can be bad for them.

I will make efforts from my side and ask people from my city and the examinees from my center to send individual representations.

Your opinion definitely needs to be heard upon by Institute since heat stroke is definitely a problem as I remember sweating heavily during last May. It definitely causes our performance to fall down a bit and that's a very important point since in our exams even 1 mark matters.

ICAI would have taken all the necessary inputs when it was conducting examination between 8 am and 11 am, and took a call to change the timings and have it between 2 pm and 5pm which is been presently followed. Your inputs can be shared with Institute, this seems to be your view which is very representative and considerate.

According to me it is due to logistical issues of candidates who travel from distant places who need to reach the examination venues on time, Institute is bound to consider this timing. In bigger cities due to traffic snarls and lack of secured examination centres, it would be difficult for the institute to also hold examination early in the morning. You need to think of the school / college which engages its staff as invigilator too may come from distant places, they need to come in early and ensure they take the roles. Obtaining Question papers from the Bank locker could also be an issue.

I am not the spokesperson for the Institute, but just expressing my view where in the Institute would have deliberated in detail about the various pros and cons before it made 2 to 5 pm as the standard time for conducting CA Examination.
