Quick Summary
A partnership firm needs to lease a commercial premise. The landlord is requesting a copy of the partnership deed and PAN card before finalising the rent agreement. The discussion clarifies whether a landlord has the legal right to demand these documents for tenant identification and assurance. It confirms that submitting a copy of the partnership deed is generally required when the rent agreement is made in the firm's name.

Legally he is right to demand identification of tenant.

Is copy partnership deed required to be submitted as identity?

Yes, as you are going to make rent agreement in firm's name.
