removal of director vs resignation

The directors have become disqualified but since if we file for removal it takes times to process and filing of resignation in DIR 12 is STP , whether the process of resignation will be complete if only the company files DIR -12 and directors don't file DIR -11 ( as they are disqualified form can't be filed).
