Is service tax to be remitted on monthly basis? or is there any class of assessees who can remit service tax on quarterly basis? Kindly clarify as it is urgent.

For service providers being---individuals, propertiership firm, partnership firm, the payment of service tax can be paid on quarterly basis....(refer proviso to Rule 6(1) of service tax rules, 1994-for details)
