if a company has only eight shareholders. can a shareholder apply to the company law board for relief against oppression and mismanagement.

yes 1/10th of total number of members can apply. in this case 8/10=0.8 rounded off to nearest one. that is 1

Agree! Refer section 399 of the Companies Act, 1956 for the same.....

Yes a single shareholder also apply if he alone hold 1/10th of shares
