Registration of a private limited company

As per my knowledge...

1) Yes..Restaurant comes under levy of Service Tax and VAT as well..

Please note that exemption limit of Rs 10 Lakh for small service provider is available subject tosome condition.

2) Registering Trademark more or less depends on your personal choice. It also depends upon the name, logo or tagline that you are using and the growth of the business that you are planning.

If your name/logo or tagline is unique and you are aiming a good growth in your hotel then there are some chances that it may get copied in future resulting into loss of goodwill, So people used to register it in advance.

If you are using name/logo or tagline which resembles some other hotel or any undertaking, than they people can create troube for you.

To sum up, i can say it is very subjective and "it depends" is the only word suitble to it.

3)The owner or user of the trademark can file an application for trademark registration. Trademark can be registered even in the name of individual, company or partnership firm which can be represented by its proprietor or partner or director as the case may be.
