my dad wants to start a new occupation as govt. contractor.
the govt department requires us to obtain esi and epf registration no. to get enlisted in dept.

currently we have contracted only 8 employees and the business will start aftr getting tender from govt dept.
as i have read that esi requires 10 or more and epf requires 20 or more employess to get registered under.

my query is. can we get registration under esi and epf with 8 employees. ??

Yes. You can take voluntary Registration...the limit is for when a company mandatory to get registration.

Where the employer and majority of employees have agreed that the provisions of this act should be made applicable to the establishment, they may themselves apply to the Central PF Commissioner. The Central PF Commissioner may apply the provisions of this Act to that establishment after passing the notification in the Official Gazette from the date of such agreement or from any subsequent date specified in the agreement

Can anybody tell me if I can apply epf registration with zero employees ??
I require it for tender purpose only. and i do not have any employees now.
can i put zero in 'no. of employees' and proceed ?
