i wanna know wheather the registration for CPT has been closed or its just a myth...
i have also heared that the last attempt for CPT is Nov 08...
i want to know the truth.

Thr hav been these kind of rumours since a long time. practically, ever since CPT was started.
i think u should call ur nearest ICAI branch office and enquire.

Registration is still being made. It is Rs.3500 per student.

CPT is not yet abandoned by ICAI. The exams will be continued by the institute.

hey i am goin to finish my mba.. wud like to do CA....(though i wud surely attempt to get help frm ICAI....ur gesture wud be more appreciated)
give me some info on procedure...if i register now when will be my first xam be?...some ppl were tellin me frm08 onwards we hav to clear some entrance exam of a kind even b4 attempting CPT...

i am very interested in CA entrance exam taken to cpt exam but i don't any information know.
Dear friends, you can get the prospectus for CPT from any of the ICAI's branches.It costs Rs.100 only.The prospectus contains the application form which you will ghave to0 fill and submit at the institute along with Rs.3500 for getting the study materials.You have CPT exams twice a year.CPT exams are featured with objective type of questions and negative marking for each wrong answer.It means mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.It was .25 for the first two batches.The present situation is thing of vague for me. The ICAI is updating the exam pattern to make it more competitive.We can expect descripttive type of questions in future too. All the very best for all aspirants.
