VOLUNTARY IF LIMIT DOESNT EXCCED

Your query is not cleared Mr Ashish.,

If a person received income from LiC Agency / Lic Commission. Then Registration required if exceeding 20lakhs Turnover. Otherwise no need to Registration...
yes, he received commission from lic and Pan agency
1) i waslnt to ask as he is agent then, not compulsory to register for GST
2) or there is difference if agency is from government company or private?
No need for both of the view if he is doing his business as LiC Commission and PAN commission...

As per sec 24(vii)

(vii) persons who make taxable supply of goods or services or both on behalf of other taxable persons whether as an agent or otherwise;

It's based INTERMEDIARY ACTIVITY UNDER GST...

based on my query and intermediary activity
