The name of the company is changed
whether I need to apply for cancellations of registration in gst and apply for fresh registration in the new name of company.

You should first change name in Pan and change name in GST. cancellation is not required here

make a reference with 15 days of such changes to proper office in GsT rgn -14 and within 15 days of receipt of gst rgn -14 proper officer accept it and send you GST rgn -15

no need to cancel your GSTN.... go to services then amendment in non core field >>>>business details from there you can edit your trade name

you have to give a reason why you want to change your trade name ...

after it go to last column verification and submit this form

approx 2-3 days you got your new REG certuficate with your new name ...

you have to go.amendmemt in core fields

Yes... You can apply both of Cancellation and Registration...
First apply to Cancellation of Previous Registration and It's approved then You can go to New Registration....

As per rule no requirement for cancel. But, You want cancellation then You go to Process the way...

no he cant cancle ... he have no perfect reason to cancle his reg ... when he cancel his reg from department he got reply that your reason is not perfect .... they are not closing his business no chance to cancle to reg ..... for trade name you can amend your reg ...
