No.
9 months of articleship should be completed before writing ipcc under direct entry. If you write the exam then result will be withheld I think.
In case you have written ipcc under cpt or foundation route already then, you are eligible straight away to write eventhough if you convert to direct entry scheme.
@ Rishab I dont think ICAI mentioned 7 or 8 months.
