Regarding dissolution of partnership

During dissolution of a firm, investment fluctuation reserve is distributed among partners directly through their capital accounts in their profit sharing ratio, however investment fluctuation fund is transferred to the realisation account, I want to know the reason behind it. please tell me. Thanks in advance.

Both are same... The end result is same in either of the methods
