I too didnot got the solution of this problem.

i had observed that this happens due to updation or due to installing addins in office ;)

But it was working 3 days earlier properly, but now dragging with mouse is not working. i was using this even for numbering also. but now not working. i didn't installed any function.

what may be the reason

Here is the solution.

first click on Office icon (left corner side option).

now click on "Excel option" near to EXIT.

open advance tab, and click on

Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop.

and you are done ;)
