Refund failure due to late depostit in Bank

Refund cheque of my client have been returned due to 90 days have been lapsed from the date of issue. Refund was processed at Mumbai and return was filed in Surat. Cheque was issued by SBI on behalf of Income Tax Department.

Please tell me whether should i approach to Income Tax Department of Bank for revalidation of Refund order?
