t n manoharan's book is also good... but vinod gupta is a step ahead to exam orientation but costly..

Vinod Gupta Sir's Book is Best for not only exam but also for future, it will clear all concepts in incoem tax.

Paduka is also ome of the very good option. Specially its FAST TRACK REFERENCER which is around 100-120 pages, which helps during last time revision

I agree but what i have heard is that its very vast and i have to allocate lots of time for DT then . Is it time consuming?

Book of Vinod Gupta sir is vast big but it's not a time consuming one as once u get habitual of reading, u will come in flow and like one module requires just one and half day to go through, this is my own experience, if only DT u are studying. So just around 15 days required if all modules, and PM has to be covered even book is good from practical point of view. Best of luck.

All are says, Vinod Gupta and Paduka...

But, those people write many more books.. So, please refer for subject wise personel improvement

T.N. Manoharan is indeed a very good Reference Book for Direct Tax Laws subject of CA Final.
It is very student friendly, comprehensive and contains all enough problems to help a student get ample practice.
It is a comprehensive DT book for a CA Final student.
